A Vintage museum

When the things you have grown up with, find a place in a museum, you are certainly getting old.

On my recent travel to Denmark, I found this quaint lil glass box museum with tiny vintage things. Each was intact and probably passed from one owner to another. I wonder what was the story behind each of them. Any guesses?

The collection

The old radio, was it bought as a gift for a grandfather who retired and would enjoy listening to his daily news. Or was this radio that brought the news of the wars, floods and calamities that befell people far off and near.

Did this record player witness the evolution of pop music and entertained people while they danced the night away. Did it see romance unfolding while couples waltzed on the yesteryear Melodies.

The Nokia phone and the iPhone which brought the mobile phone revolution to the world. It’s such a recent event but already finding their place in a museum.

This tiny racing car.. what adventures did it witness. How many racers got their victory and the girls in the audience screamed and celebrated their wins.

Now this one seems scary, like the breathing masks from the world war when bio wars were a big threat.

This tiny plane seems like a model straight from Wright brothers’ workshop.

Did this vintage radio sit by the bedside of a teenage girl day dreaming about her lover on the music at the background.
