Conversation Homes... Hmmmm

There are millions of sites and blogs and magazines on homes. I am not sure what style I belong to, but if you put a gun to my head then I would say,

Cosy, chic, nostalgic conversation! Yes it's cosy as in comfortable and warm, chic as in quirky, nostalgic as in full of memories which leads to conversations and if you insist then even compliments.

That's how I have done up our home, so many corners of conversations with a balance of empty walls in between for a balanced light aura!!

A big plain scrap book!! So here are the conversation starters I was talking about!!  So let's start!!
The Living Room
The travel stickers, the trips, the travels, the places and journeys, the memoirs.... And virtual America thru American sit coms...

The scrap book, the pictures of loved ones, of first baby, of rs 1 crore gudi padwa bumper ticket, drawings of my neices, their innocent love and some relationship coupons which we don't use...the fake rose anniversary gift..

The Bathroom
The Mumbai map, the postcards, the hotel feedback cards for dates, the hulk hand, the film posters postcards, the cartoons, the quotes, the comic strips, the vintage cards, the photographs I clicked and think they are best!

The Study
The books of course, toys, toy cars, the Beatles records, the tin boxes,

The film poster, the Kathakai dancer, the momma baby, the fat doll, my childhood you and a mechanical merry go round, the red riding hood basket.

The bookmarks, the paint brush, the sketch pens, the shades, the colors, the puppets, the 3D glasses, the kite thread, the been, the helicopter fan, the snakes and ladders, the mondegar cup, the books, the wooden dolls, Hanuman, Nagraj, handiplast money bank, tribals and dragans,

The Kitchen
The pots, the plants, the snail shaped pot, the junglee plants, the chalkboard, the quote, the statement and the paint...

The tea kettle, the libra scale, the box, the books, cookbooks, the chalkboard that says 'our home', the recipe poster, the beer and coca cola posters,,

The tin box collection.. Love you girls.. Indian, Czech, Srilankan, and British on one level...

The Bed Room
The bedside lamp, the ethnic touch,  the couple photographs, the white curtain, the poster bed, the vintage GE radio clock, the music, the songs, the FM, the favourites, the old songs, the radio and old golden songs...

The romantic pictures or the traditional wedding one...

Goan beach

and wedding swing

Take full collage, the scrapboard of our relationship, the loads of love, college sweethearts, and dating, first date movie tickets dated 4th October 2002 stamped on them, the proposal, the wedding, the home and the holidays and they lived happily ever after...

The Doors
Because that's where the conversations should start from...

Comic characters for an Iron man husband and Hulk wife, and the hands and scary masks, the comiccon and costumes...

The male and female sketches, of us on toilet doors, the children birthdays and the stalls there of cheap art..

The not so us but may be a little

And the main door, the hand painted, bus green, gloss or matt, the Srilankan mask, evil eye totka, the tiny bell, and the tinker,
Chao for now. Later for more conversations!!

Mam, I would love to have an abode like yours. Though, I wont be able to do the creative work :P In awe with your library. And, are you from St. Stephens? :P

Thanks Raghav. I am sure you would create a lovely home for yourself if you believe it as a personal canvas which you color the way you feel. I M not from Stephens but pretty close by!
