Trojan Horse

Here is another Vintagewala item. This one is an old toy - a horse on wheels. Hence the name Trojan. Found it in one of the old shops in Fort Kochi and the owner informed me it's about 45 years old. They collect it from previous owners for a price. This shopkeeper had a good collection of toys from old trains to terracotta dolls and metal money banks.

Terracotta toys like this horses on wheel were playing things for kids since ancient India. May be even today in places where the monster of modern day has not killed everything. But why call it Trojan horse? Won't an Indian name suit it better?

Hey Moni, good idea, suggest one. I went by the first thing that comes to mind when you see a horse on wheels.

This seems to be an interesting hobby you have there. And finding a place such as this must have been a treat for you!

Yes Richa. I scour any town or market I go to. It's like a treasure hunt for me, browsing for vintage things and buying that one piece which fits with your home and personality.
