Flee to the Flea

Out in Europe and not seen a Flea market... u have missed big time. But I didn't.. so here it is - my first flea market visit in Europe... and yes there are many more coming...
The shopper in me was craving... and here I found it.. the Havel's Market. The best thing about it were the Toy collection - wooden & POP puppets, dolls & witches, paper flowers, board games, blocks, tin jars & mugs, souvenirs, and paintings

a lovely colorful collection of tin mugs & jars.. I bought a lil tin biscuit box for my kitchen

not so angry birds

I know I am too old to buy toys for myself.. but I have a decent collection from my travels..
and from Prague I got -  a Pinocchio puppet, a merry go round mechanical toy and of course wooden magnet souvenirs (so corny but one must) for the fridge display.

Two of my favorites... they seemed so real... but they were not....The one on the left is how Prague is symbolised with a beautiful skyline sketch of red brick buildings...

I remember as a kid seeing these dolls in the display of so many houses.
They were meant for delicate play and tea parties.
How I wished then I had one...

one crackled at a clap and the other farted and made funny toilet sounds..
I  couldn't resist but click them..
witches galore.. something for the Halloween
I don't know what this says.. but I say...
we are just starting..
flea you again soon..

Lovely collection of pics, seems one has taken a stroll through the forgotten by-lanes of childhood.Sooo wildly colourful, definitely not something one would associate with Europe, which to my mind is always chic and classic and oh so proper. Of course it might be a Austen hangover that has permeated my consciousness.

Keep sharing your lovely snaps with us :)

Thanks.. in fact I also had a similar impression of Europe.. but that mainly crops up from oh so British.. eastern Europ ei svery lively and colorful.. Prague, Italy Greece are European only in costs but life is so similar to India or any other Asian country...I love shopping but Flea market shopping is double the deal...
