Kodai: The Potter's Shed

Kodai Kanal only the name is a tongue twister - the town oozes of only simplicity and beauty.. It also has something for the shoppers amongst us - from souvenir shops by the dozen selling cheap products to exotic hand loom shops with classy brass designs, antiques and handicrafts.

We went around the entire city and while browsing the main bazaar, we came across this cute little shop called 'The Potter's Shed'.

The name itself summarises what the shop offers.. it is a place for ceramic and terracota lovers...

The blues, the browns, the beige and the blacks beckon one as you enter...

All corners of the shop are laden with different colors and types of earthy items to decorate your kitchen or to gift your friends and family.

I wish I had been here when I was setting up my kitchen.. would have bought one set of each type for my kitchen... one set for breakfast, one for lunch, one for outdoors, one for indoors. We women can possibly think of zillion reasons to buy stuff we really like...

For a classy yet casual dinner with friends.. they look so perfect and appealing that any food served in them is bound to be healthy and tasty...

Serve the food hot on a low lying table and seating on floor...

drive away your blues and greys with these blue and grey ceramic sets!!

Love these pots with wooden handles..

I have always been too lazy to serve tea in kettles..
I just pour directly in cups and serve..
but for these I will
pour in kettle and serve with cups..
and also adorn it with a cute lil tea cozy ..

the people behind all these maginificent pieces of art and utility...

Beauty with a cause...
