London - A Winter Heritage

Recently I was in London for official work but as much as possible against the wishes of workaholics i managed some work life balance..

Fortunately or unfortunately the day I landed, it started snowing.. it was the first time in 19 years that it snowed in the month of November in London...
With all the snow outside, the enthu folks in office traveling with me did not stop and wanted to see London come snow or sun... so we ventured into the snow... and here are some snowy views of the heritage city London..
and this one was against the backdrop of St Paul's Church....
my office was just next to St. Paul's so we made this quick visit to the Cathederal during the day.. the complete tour of cathederal takes much longer but we managed to see this very cosy cafe in the basement of St. Paul's Cathederal.. it had great works of art... and I can't deprive you of these lovely images I saw there..

one of the folks was a passionate photographer and he wanted to click Big Ben at night.. and that too from across the Thames... it was quiet a walk.. and the minute you stopped you started freezing.. but we made best of the walk too...
like this heritage building with a disco light reflecting a sparking light across the street...quiet an eye catching and classy effect...

here is the view of millenium bridge and St. Paul's Cathederal lovely backdrop in Sepia..
the London Eye
but let your eyes not miss the lovely christmas fair that was set up just under it and across the Thames...
catch the ride at the bottom..
here is a closer look of the xmas ride.. i love the color and lights.. the jumpy-jerky horses and revolving lights..
reminds you of the childhood fairs and visits to Appughar and Disneylands of the world...

and finally here's the big ben..
and the House of Parliament
well London is beautiful with its heritage buildings and great pieces of art.. though snow and weather can be tough on you but don't miss to capture the essence of a city whatever the season or reason..
because each city becomes a different city with every season...
